Together the grouped discussed their plan of action. It was quite difficult for them to make sure that they had killed every rat, so instead they decided to lay a trap. The thunder mage placed a wide spread shock spell on each level which will force the rats to run upwards onto the deck of the ship where they will lay waste to them.
Once all the preparations were set, they began. A low humming noise could be heard followed by faint crackles. A few moments past then a thunderous noise could be heard. Out of the doors were rats streaming onto the deck. They began quickly, jumping straight into the masses. Shadiic and the other mage sealed the doors to the bowels of the ship to prevent any from escaping. The rats started scattering which made it hard for any area magic used to take a group out as well as they had to minimise the damage to the ship, which they failed as somebody managed to break a wooden support with a nail bat. Shadiic decided to shot a blizzaga into the air. The blast went straight up and exploded freezing ever thing around it. This caused a short hail which didn't do squat except for making everything more chaotic than it should be. Grabbing their weapons, the two mages joined the others in dealing with the rest of the rats as any more magic would just be a waste.

After finishing the scourge or rats, they left the galleon and reported to the harbour master. The wharf has been contained and beastmasters are now checking every part to make sure none were left. Later on, they received their statistics. The warehouse and galleon that Shadiic was assigned to, they missed sixteen rats in total. The penalty was 100J for every rat, so he didn't get any reward, but then they went to the damages report. Everyone started to panic, but the harbour master told them that the cost for repair will go to the illegal smugglers who started the whole mess. On their ship besides what seemed to be thousands of teeming rats were a large sum of stolen goods and the respective owners were happy to pay to get them back.
In the end Shadiic didn't get any money, but fighting rats the size of dogs was good experience.
END.
